Even in the face of uncertainty and fear, I refused to give up hope. I embarked on a journey of healing, recovery and personal growth, determined to defy the odds and rewrite my story.

From 2020 to 2023, I found myself confronting challenges that pushed me to the brink of what I thought I could handle. It all started with getting COVID, pulling me away from the fast pace of real estate that had become an essential part of my life since 2005.

After a long time recovering, I was finally able to return to work, but the world was a changed place. Middle Tennessee had become a hotspot for real estate, and I dove headfirst into the frenzy, driven by a sense of purpose. For 11 months straight, I worked tirelessly, making up for my time off while also fueled by a relentless determination to help my clients succeed in such a competitive market.

But as the months wore on, the cracks began to show. Despite my outward success, I was barely keeping my head above water, my body and mind pushed to the brink of exhaustion. For the first time, I knew what true physical and emotional exhaustion felt like. It was completely debilitating.

In August 2021, my mom got COVID. On top of my personal exhaustion, I tried desperately to help her, navigating the complex world of hospitals and medical care. I became my mother's fiercest advocate, rallying support from every corner in a desperate bid to save her life. The years I spent navigating short sales and fighting for my clients, using every tool and resource I could find, became a source of strength as I sought out people and government officials who could help.

By the middle of 2022, I found myself teetering on the edge of collapse, my body and mind pushed to their breaking point. I began to experience alarming symptoms, from cognitive fog to debilitating fatigue, leaving me struggling to simply make it through each day. In September of that year, I received the news: I had been diagnosed with late-stage neurological Lyme disease and cancer. As the main provider of my home, it was devastating. I had been wearing myself thin, weakening my immune system and body, and now, I finally had to take a pause and take care of myself.

I spent six months doing treatments—it felt like an eternity. It was very hard on my body and forced me to do the one thing I had always struggled with: slowing down and stopping. In real estate, you are always on the run. And I had been, for close to 20 years straight.

Reframing became my mantra. I questioned what truly mattered in life, what my real priorities were, and why I chose to stay in real estate. The answer wasn’t just about the years I’ve invested; it was about the relationships forged, the trust earned and the service I was proud to have provided.

During those challenging times, my clients became more than just business connections; they were anchors, guiding lights in a stormy sea. Even as I faced my own challenges, I found solace in serving them, in ensuring that their needs were met and they were well taken care of.

In moments of doubt, I asked myself, “Who else could treat them with the same care, the same dedication, the same honesty?” The realization was clear: I was meant to do this. So, emerging from those three tumultuous years, I feel stronger, more motivated and even more passionate than ever before about continuing my work in real estate.

From these experiences, I have learned the importance of balance and taking time for myself so when I am working, I can truly be my very best for my clients. With two daughters, Ambria and Lexi, and a supportive husband, Brandon, I have so much to be grateful for in my life. In this new chapter, I am excited to return to real estate in full swing while prioritizing the things that matter most. My absence may have been noticeable, but my return will be unforgettable.

There was a pivotal moment in my career when I was faced with a choice: go along with the unethical practices or stand up for myself and my clients. For me, it was a no-brainer. My client’s best interests and well-being are my number one priority, always. No amount of pressure will ever change that. From that moment on, I have been driven to not only help my clients be successful and deliver an exceptional service, but to also contribute to upholding the highest industry standards, where doing the honest, ethical thing is never a question; it is the norm.

No matter my clients’ backgrounds or their price points, I deliver the same exceptional service, helping each person achieve their goals with full support and advocacy. With a client-first approach, I maintain open communication, keeping you informed from beginning to end. It is my goal to eliminate unnecessary stressors during the process and help find solutions if road bumps do arise. Even when the transaction is over, my commitment to you remains unwavering, serving as your REALTOR® and friend for life!

Sincerely,
